Nominate your Exhibit entry for display at the National Museum of American History!

One of the biggest thrills many National History Day participants have is the opportunity to show off their work at national museums in Washington, DC.  This year, the National Museum of American History Behring Center will be taking 24 Exhibits for display on Wednesday, June 16.  Students in both the Junior and Senior divisions in the Exhibit category are welcome to enter the nomination contest. This is a great opportunity to have your exhibit displayed in Washington, D.C. and to chat with historians and museum curators. Students, parents, teachers and the public can enjoy these educational displays.

Students talk about displaying their exhibits in 2009:
"It was an incredible, once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to present my project at such an amazing musem... It was really fun to hear and  answer people's questions about my project. The visitors seemed really interested in all of the NHD exibits, and they spent a lot of time walking around and asking us questions. It really felt like we contributed to the museum that day."   -Jenny S.

"I was also privileged to speak with several members of the musem staff and the museum director Mr. Brent Glass. I especially enjoyed talking with Ms. Marcia Powell, an exhibit designer, who encouraged me to pursue my interest in exhibit design."   - Grace H.
