Planning Ahead

Students planning to participate in National History Day are advised to plan ahead for possible conflicts that may affect their eligibility to compete at various levels of competition. Students who may have conflicts with SAT or ACT exams should either arrange to take exams at a later (or earlier) date or should not enter categories that would preclude them from competition.

Note: The performance category as well as other individual categories are not good choices for students who are absolutely unable to compete on designated contest dates.
