To participate in the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest, you must create an account and complete the online registration process by Tuesday, May 19, 2009. To start, click on the "Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest 2009" link below and follow the instructions.

REGISTERING IMMEDIATELY AFTER STATE CONTEST: Your information may take up to five days to appear in the system after you win in your state contest. If you cannot log-in at this time, please check back in 5-7 days to register.

  • Online registration will close promptly at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
  • DOCTORS NOTES: If you have a medical condition that requries you to stay in an air conditioned dorm, you must send a doctors note to the national office. It must be received in the national office no later than Friday, May 22, 2009.
  • NON-ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS: If you are NOT paying online, your check, money order, or other non-electronic payment must be received by the national office on or before Friday, May 22, 2009.
  • An additional fee of $45 per student will be assessed for all entries received by mail after the registration deadline.
