This course helps teachers dive into the NHD research process. This course will use the twentieth century Civil Rights Movement as a research focus, and teachers will choose their own topic to explore and relate back to the 2017 Taking a Stand in History theme. Teachers are grouped into small learning communities who teach similar students and have the opportunities to network, share ideas, and work through various strategies to find historical sources and strategies to help students analyze these documents. Specific strategies for writing historical papers are also addressed in this course.
To sign up for graduate credit, you must register with both NHD and University of San Diego. Visit the University of San Diego to register for the graduate credits ($225.00).
