About the National Orchestral Institute:
For more than a generation, the National Orchestral Institute has nurtured the development of America’s most gifted young orchestral musicians. During this month-long festival of electrifying performances – from chamber recitals to full orchestra concerts, these young artists perform with commitment and prowess. Festival events are on stage and offstage, both at The Clarice and in our community, as the musicians of NOI+F forge a bright path for the future of orchestras. The Clarice is located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, less than half a mile from the Adele H. Stamp Student Union.

The National Orchestral Institute has offered free passes to National History Day Contest students to attend one the Guest Artist Chamber Music Recital on Wednesday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on the University of Maryland campus.

For one night only, we turn the spotlight on our guest faculty as they perform an eclectic program of chamber works featuring Jeff Thayer and Jennifer Ross, violins; Stephen Wyrczynski, viola; and Jeffrey Turner, double bass.
