Description:
This course is designed to help teachers use documentaries to teach historical thinking and critical thinking skills to students. Teachers will learn the practical skills needed to produce a documentary and develop a model to share with their students. The course combines practical skills with hands-on experience with a focus on developing a thesis statement and supporting it with historical evidence in a documentary that meets the National History Day criteria.
